I’ve talked in the past about some easy candy-free printable valentines that were a total hit! This year, I decided to take my daughter to the dollar store to see what we could find. And I was pleasantly surprised! We had a blast with all the super cute dollar store valentine ideas we found! I can’t wait to share them with you, along with all the printable tags to go with it.

Sure, you could go to your local grocery store and get the same old Valentines as everyone else, but these unique and homemade dollar store valentine ideas will be fun to make and fun to give.
Dollar Store Valentine Ideas: Fortune Cookie Valentines
Firstly, the first of the dollar store Valentine Ideas is seriously adorable. One of the first things we picked up at the dollar store was a box of red and pink foam fortune cookies. HOW freaking cute right!? I immediately knew how fortunate we were to come across these, because I am sure they will fly off the shelves!
Right when I go home, I designed these fortune cookie valentines to go with them. (These come in all assorted colors that work for both boys and girls!)
Just print the fortune cookie valentines out, cut them into four squares, punch holes in them, and you can tie your cookie right onto the tag.
However, if you aren’t fortunate enough to find these super cute foam fortune cookies, I found some really cute alternatives on Amazon. These first ones are fortune cookie erasers! SO perfect for the classroom! All of the below options could easily be taped onto the front of the tags that I have above, or slipped into a little treat bag like this.
Dollar Store Valentine Ideas: Ring Valentines
The next of the dollar store Valentine Ideas is pretty much geeared toward the girls. But don’t fret, I have one for boys down below! Little girls just love to dress up, especially at my daughter’s age! So when we saw these plastic rings at the dollar store, I thought, what a great idea for Dollar Store Valentine Ideas!
With these coordinating ring valentines tags that say things like, “You’re a Gem”, “You Rock,” and, “You are precious to me”, I think they make the perfect candy-free valentine for any little girl.
These tags come in two versions. Firstly, are Editable PDF Ring Valentines, so that you can type, print, and cut your valentines. Secondly, if you aren’t feeling tech savvy (girl, I get you!), you can get the Digital Ring Valentines where you just print and fill in the names with Pen. Voila. Can’t make it to the dollar store? Dollar store completely cleaned out (like mine often gets just before each of the holidays)? No worries!
