Your Subconscious Mind is on Autopilot

Einstein says to NOT listen to the person who has all the answers, but to listen to the person who has the questions. I couldn’t agree more. And if you’re here reading this, I know your on board. It’s all about asking ourselves the important questions. Why? Did you know that your subconscious mind is on autopilot? Meaning, that day to day, we don’t ask questions. We just mindlessly go about our day listening to that negative self talk on replay.

So how do you proactively tell your brain to start thinking differently so you can make change? You start asking the right questions. Challenge yourself daily to see yourself differently, act as you want to be, and make lasting change. Below are some Gratitude Journal Prompts for personal development to help you do just that.

Secondly, do you look in the mirror and see a big nose? (maybe that’s just me! lol). Maybe you wish you were more outgoing or more confident. This is something I talk about in my Free Happiness Masterclass, and we address how this is just a story your telling yourself. In other words, change your stories, change your life. It’s that simple. With that in mind, use your gratitude journal to walk through the points below:

  • Name three things you don’t like about yourself.
  • Recognize that those things are just stories you’re telling yourself and write three new stories.
  • Now that those stories have changed, what are the possibilities you can be grateful for?
