As a party decorations designer, I might be good at designing your parties. But when it comes to interior design, it’s not something I excel at. And I am all about outsourcing things that don’t fall into your zone of genius! That’s why I decided to try out Havenly. Havenly is an online interior design service and home decorating discovery engine. They cater to any budget, any style and every design dream! So now I’m sharing my Havenly review with you, as well as all the amazing furniture finds they found for our mater bedroom! So without further ado, here is my Havenly review.

The New House Blues
I hate to admit it, but this is our master bedroom nearly six years after moving in. NOT A LOT GOING ON. Mainly because when you buy a new house, you have to spend every penny on things you never expected to purchase. A tall ladder, perhaps? A new washer dryer? These things, although not exciting purchases, are much more necessary than wall art. And that’s one of the reasons we held off for so long.
So when we were finally ready to decorate our master bedroom, I turned to Havenly, after reading a few other Havenly reviews like, this one from The Box Queen, and this havenly review from The Verge.
Havenly Review: How it works
When you first purchase an inexpensive and totally worth it room design from Havenly, you take a quiz to identify your style. After that, you get paired with a designer that has experience with that style. We got Dani, and she was awesome, attentive, and totally got my style!
The first thing you do is take photos of the room and provide measurements to your designer. Then you tell your designer what you want to keep in your current design, and what you’d like her to look for. You can also provide her with a Pinterest Board, which I love! I have been pinning to my Dream Home Board for years! So it was so easy to just drop her the link, giving her an in-dept look at my style preferences.
Design Concept
After you provide them with all that information, they come back with a gallery of items that might interest you. You can go through several iterations until you are happy with everything! I just love the attention to detail our designer provided!
This is why I recommend Havenly as a superior online interior design platform. Here’s where they lay out your room, so that you see exactly how it should look!
I love everything about the design of this room. It is glam, but homey. I died for this grey rug she recommended! It is so chic.
Havenly even gives you this diagram so you know the dimensions you are working with.
Havenly Review: After
Before I show you the end result, I will say that we haven’t purchased all the recommended items just yet. I mean. A girl’s gotta manifest a few more dollars to do that. But I love that I have the blueprint for a final design that I can work toward.

The other thing I love about Havenly, is that while they provide you with the design, as well as some suggested furniture items, you don’t have to purchase through them. While we did purchase several items straight through Havenly, we wanted to see if we could find a few look-alike items at better prices, which we did! Again, Havenly provides the blueprint, and then you can decide how you want to use it.
A great example of this is this Capiz Shell Wall Art that our designer recommended. I freaking love it. However, it was a bit pricey. (I’m trying not to say the word “expensive” these days. You can read about why here. But the term, “pricey” is still allowed right?). So, we ended up getting a a similar looking print at Homegoods that totally works until I get the other one.
The Nightstands
Another example is the dressers and nightstands. We loved the look of the items our designer recommended, but were able to find similar ones at a discount. We love our Brayden 3 Drawer Nightstands!
The lamps that our designer recommended were these gold lamps from Z Gallerie that were $299 each! They are so pretty! However, I was able to find some almost-replica lamps at Lamps Plus for half the price as a PAIR! Talk about a score.
Our designer incorporated our Quilted Coverlette that we already had, which was great! She also kept our grey blackout curtains and our upholstered bed frame!
The Master Bedroom Seating Area
And now on to our favorite part, and the main reason for such a great Havenly review. These Quincy Swivel Armchairs are SO amazingly plush and comfortable while also being super stylish! I couldn’t recommend them more!
And to top it off, these Rivet Foot Stools are not only freaking adorable, but they are so plush! I love rubbing my bare feet all over them (is that weird to say?).
They also have these grey velvet footstools as a bench, which I think is equally as cute, if you decide not to have the armchairs in a smaller space.
Even though they recommended this table from Home Depot, I found this chic marble and gold table at Ross for $22.00! Such a great find. It’s so fun to use the Havenly design as a base, and my treasure-hunting ways to create the look on a budget.
Havenly Review: The Dresser
We like the restored look, but we also want quality and durability. That can be hard to find when getting an older restored dresser. So when we found this Toulouse Extra Wide dresser that looked distressed but was brand new, it was the perfect fit! It is exactly the style we were going for and matches so well with the end tables. We love the look of the one from Restoration Hardware, but it wouldn’t fit in this little nook!
Final Touches
I am obsessed with this Palais Arched Antique Mirror that our designer recommended. But while we’re waiting for that, we’ll just have to live with this LBK photo of my husband and I overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge on fleet week.
The last thing we purchased directly through Havenly was this gorgeous Expression Velvet Bench. This is one of the reasons why going with Havenly for a room design is the way to go. This bench is only available to interior designers and Havenly customers. If you aren’t purchasing through them, then this grey velvet bench is equally as nice.
