I can’t begin to describe the magic that happene

I can’t begin to describe the magic that happened this weekend. (And I can’t really show you because I’m not great at taking pictures of it either!)

But what I can pass on from my last few days with @jameswedmore at #BBDLive is that you have to move through fear to get where you want to go.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: “ everything you want is on the other side of fear”. I was scared to death to go to this thing because I’m a the BIGGEST introvert! I was like, what if people think I’m weird? What if I have no one to talk to? What if I don’t connect to anyone?

Turns out the universe/God/Source supported me every single step of the way! I felt completely surrounded by amazing supportive beautiful successful women (and some men!) all weekend! And I know that wasn’t a coincidence and exactly what I needed.

Here’s the deal. Starting a business is scary. Doing new things is scary stepping out of your comfort zone is scary. But that’s where the magic is!

I hope this inspires you today to step into the person you need to be to do the thing a you need to do to get the things that you want!

(The dad couldn't really say anything because the son was making more than him! 1. They don’t think about the long term. ⏰

Sure! It could be fun to do a side job that does XYZ, but can you do it when you’re sick? Can you do it on vacation? Can you do it with a broken arm? We don’t realize that when we start something that we want to blow up, that could actually be a bad thing because of injury or burnout. So it’s best to find a side hustle that can run even when you aren’t working.🤔

2. They choose something to “get rich quick”. 💰⏰ First off, I don’t know that there’s any legal or ethical side hustle that helps you get rich quick. Sure, you can start to make money quickly, but if you want a true business that brings in a legit income, you’ve got to commit.

3. They don’t pick something that can evolve overtime. 📈 I teach women to sell printables, but I teach them that this side hustle can grow and expand as you do. Remember that you grow and change and your priorities and interests do too. So choose something that can evolve with you as you change and evolve yourself.

Do I think selling printables is the best side hustle you can start? Damn straight I do! 😍

I came across this forum yesterday about “Etsy gurus” and how they aren’t actually gurus. And let me just say that I’d never consider myself a guru. 🤭

What I would say is that ever since I started coaching people on Etsy, it became even more important than ever to walk the talk. So it’s super important to me that I keep posting new listings on Etsy and learning from my failures and successes.

So, should you listen to “Etsy gurus”? I say, it’s always worth listening to someone who’s just a few steps further along than you are. They may not know it ALL! And I certainly don’t! (I’m not Bethenny Frankle 😉!) but having a mentor to guide you through what they’ve been through is extremely helpful and can get you to where you want SO much faster.
