True story… One time my husband, Aaron, was shop

True story… One time my husband, Aaron, was shopping at our local grocery store, and this guy approached him, making small talk.

A-Aron is a nice guy, so he chatted for a bit.

Then the guy said he was looking for some additional business partners and asked if he was interested in hearing more.

My husband came home with that intuitive feeling that it didn't "feel" quite right. But the guy was super nice, and wanted to take him to coffee to chat about it. So my husband thought, "What's the worst that can happen?"

When he went to meet this guy for coffee, the guy told him all about his business and how he was making a ton of money using supply and demand and threw in a bunch of words that sounded really interesting.

...but it was still unclear about what EXACTLY the business was about.

Aaron asked him, "What exactly are you selling?" And the guy went around in circles, never giving a clear answer.

Can we say, READ FLAG?! 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

He left the meeting convinced that it was some kind of scam. We'll never really know, but it's kind of obvious, right?

And maybe you've been feeling this about selling printables too?

I get it. I am super weary about seeing things online that claim to help you make "passive income."

But unlike the guy my husband met at the grocery store or the people teaching you to make passive income on TikTok (but you're not exactly sure how they're doing it!), printables is a straight forward side hustle with only green flags! ✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️

There are so many more things I want to do.

There are so many things I wish I would have done ALREADY.

But at the end of the day, I know that by continuing to get up every day and push forward - no matter how many setbacks I have - If I continue to move forward, I know my success is inevitable.

I'm talking about that email you have to send to a prospective client, that scary moment of publishing your first listing on Etsy, the business you want to start, the guy you want to talk to...

Once you realize that everything you want is on the other side of fear, it doesn't necessarily make you LESS scared, but it DOES make you realize how much potential you have. You start to prove to yourself that more things are possible for you. And you realize that being uncomfortable is actually the ONLY way to get EVERYTHING you want in life.

Why? Because here’s another quote. “If you aren’t growing, your dying.” And while it’s a good idea to always keep an open mind and know that there’s always more to learn, it’s okay that you don’t know it ALL.

Ancient Wisdom 🗝️ for Etsy Success 🏆...

Spirituality and ancient wisdom were always a big deal in my household growing up.

I remember writing down little affirmations on pieces of paper in my room after reading The Secret in high school and sticking them in my wallet and in random pairs of jeans.

Another time, my mom took me and my family to a personal development seminar called "Humans being more," where we had to make vision boards and later present them by yelling loudly over extremely loud music.

It's a funny memory and seems kind of silly, but I'll tell you, I know I'm a better person, and a better entrepreneur because of it.

If you've been around for any amount of time, then you know that mindset and ancient wisdom play a huge part in how I coach women to be successful on Etsy.

Do you get a pay raise every year? 😱 I really hope that you're in a job that gives you a little bump each year!

But if you aren't, I want you to know you aren't alone.

I worked for a company for over 10 years and never got one single raise!🫣

So why did I stay? Well, it was a great job! Plus the people were great. Also, the work-life balance was so amazing that I was able to start my side hustle.

Sometimes in life, we have to choose between money, and the things that we value in our lives. And I personally valued time flexibility over money. But what if we didn't have to pick between those two things? What if, we could make an additional income AND do what we loved?
