the 3 misconceptions about raising your vibration

The year 2020 is just kicking people’s asses, am I right? A friend of mine confirmed this. She’s a nurse at our local hospital. She told me that there are A LOT of people in the hospital right now, but not for THE THING that has ruined 2020. Unfortunately, they are being treated for depression and suicide attempts. Therefore, it made me think about the tools I discuss on my podcast, like trying to raise your vibration. Below, let’s talk about the three misconceptions about raising your vibration, so we can have a few more tools in our tool belt to help us through this year.

RAISING YOUR VIBRATION IS ABOUT FEELING BETTER AND BEING AT PEACE INSIDE YOUR SOUL

The 3 Biggest Misconceptions About Raising Your Vibration

The Celebration Effect Podcast is all about celebrating your life. After all, it’s the ultimate key to happiness in our lives. Right!? And the ultimate celebration of life is gratitude. Since I previously mentioned raising your vibration, I want to discuss the misconceptions about raising your vibration. It’s a little refresher for anyone who forgot or maybe has doubts. Maybe you’re thinking that this stuff sounds great, but does it really work? Let’s dive into the 3 biggest misconceptions about raising your vibration.

The First of Three Misconceptions of Raising Your Vibration: It’s Compicated

The very first misconception is that it’s complicated. For example, when you hear, ‘raise your vibration’, it sounds so science-y (I know that’s not a word). Raise my vibration? What now? And if you listen to my very first podcast, you know that I address this very question: ‘What does raise your vibration even mean’? Well, it’s based in science. And it’s actually not complicated at all.

The Law of Vibration

It all started with the law of vibration.

We, for example, are all beings that are made up of atoms, which are made up of protons, neutrons, and electrons. Under a microscope, they’re all moving around. (Are you bored yet?) In other words, anything you look at, such as your laptop, phone, me, or literally anything, is vibrating.

All matter is vibrating at different frequencies.

Our Thoughts are Vibrating Too!

So, here’s the kicker. Even our thoughts and emotions vibrate at different frequencies. For instance, when you feel good and are having good thoughts, you’re in a positive, high vibration. Similarly, if you are feeling bad, with negative thoughts, you’re in a low vibration. It’s that simple. If you want to feel better, it means you want to raise your vibration. What it looks like for me to feel better might be different than what it looks like for you. There’s no one way to raise your vibration.  It’s all about your way. Whatever resonates with you to feel better. Simple, right?

The Second of Three Misconceptions of Raising Your Vibration: Raising Your Vibration is for Weirdos

Secondly, let’s move on to the second misconception. Raising your vibration is for weirdos, hippies, or sacrilegious people. Let’s be clear! Raising your vibration is about feeling better and being at peace inside your soul. Lower vibrations are anger, sadness, depression, shame, and guilt. If you just want to feel better, I have a question for you – how is that weird?

How is wanting to feel better hippie talk?  How is that sacrilegious? This isn’t about some crazy conspiracy theorist with weird hair. It’s about energy. For instance, we give off energy based on the emotions we have. In other words, it’s energy in motion. It’s not woo woo. It’s science. And when we know the science, we can change the results we get in our lives.

The Law of One

The very first law of the universe is the law of one. It is very comparable to the golden rule: ‘Treat others how you want to be treated.’ That’s what the law of one is all about. We’re all energy and we are all connected. Being connected means that we are one. What we do to one person, we do to ourselves.

To me, that’s the most beautiful place you can live from. It’s about loving each other and realizing that we’re all in this together. And, along the way, you have your human experience, where you get to manifest amazing wonderful things into your life. For example, money, homes, clothes, new jobs, relationships, and all the things we want to have as human beings. So, I hope I’ve cleared up that next misconception about raising your vibration.

Misconception Number 3: Thinking Positively Will Manifest the Life of Our Dreams

Thirdly, is why “positive thinking” gets a bad rap. Raising our vibration and thinking positively is a great FIRST step into manifesting the life of our dreams. However, it’s actually not the only thing you have to do. For example, in order to manifest the things that we want, we also need other key components and laws of the universe to come into play. Most importantly, the law of action. Yes, you guessed it! You need to take action.

I hate to be bad news bears, but the life of your dreams is not going to manifest just by watching ‘Friends’ re-runs on the couch. Therefore, you’re going to have to put in some work and take some action to get what you want. But not just ANY action. Inspired action. (You can read more about manifesting the life of your dreams by taking inspired action in this blog.) Therefore, taking inspired action is such a big piece of the puzzle that people forget! So, get out there. Call someone, create a website, or simply go for a walk to see if you can get some intuitive hits about what to do next!
