How I Make Passive Income on Etsy
I started my Etsy Party Decorations business because I love to craft and plan parties. Everyone was always telling me to go for it, since I did it for so many people for free. So when I finally started my business and had success on Etsy, it was pretty thrilling. It was kind of crazy that people were actually paying me to create things that I loved to do for free anyway!
Fast forward a year or so, and I realized it was turning out to be A LOT of work. Can you relate?
And not just a lot of work, but a lot of work that didn’t pay very well. So many people who sell Cricut-made items on Etsy sell their items for pennies on the dollar! It just becomes impossible to compete with that! Amiright?
That was about the time that I decided to make the switch to digital. Switching to printable party decorations, as opposed to printed and shipped party decorations has certifiably changed my business and life.
How I Turned My Cricut Business Into Passive Income – Slowly
Let’s face it, if you have a Cricut handmade business, your product isn’t scalable. Okay, so ya, you could make one product for hours on end each week to try and keep up with demand. However, that just means more hard work. Right? So, it’s safe to say that you if you want to grow your business, but increasing sales of your product means more time in your office or craft room! You have 2 options. You can start to move everything over to digital quickly, or you can do it slowly. The important thing is that you are taking steps toward freedom and passive income, even if they are little steps.
I personally chose to do it slowly. I had a LOT of different parties, and that meant that I needed to slowly transition each of them over to digital. That is A LOT of work when it comes to party decorations, but in the end, I will tell you it’s worth it!
How I Turned My Cricut Business Into Passive Income and How You can Too
No matter how you decide to do it, starting is key! Adding digital products in with your physical products will allow you to slowly make the transition. Just take it product by product and you will be amazed at how much you can accomplish. That’s what I did. Just ONE STEP AT A TIME!
For example, if you’re a sign maker, maybe you use a third party supplier, like Printful, to use your designs on t-shirts, bags, or hats. If you make cups, think outside the box on how you can make those designs into SVGs that you can sell instead of the hustle and grind. If you make jewelry, could you create a course to help other’s start a business like yours?
The Key is to Make An Action Plan
You know how when you first started a business, everyone told you that you had to make a business plan? I actually have never done that, and am not encouraging you to do it now. However, what I would encourage you to do is make an action plan about the steps you are going to take to go digital! That way, next year at this time, you aren’t pissing and moaning that you wish you would have started right after you read this blog. Know what I’m sayin? That’s why I created this action plan for going digital. It will help you outline your steps for your business so that your vision actually becomes reality instead of just a pipe dream! Download it now for free so that you can get started right away.
Now you can hustle at your workout or at being a mom! But once you make the jump to passive income, you no longer have to hustle in your business! And that, my friend, is a breath of fresh air!
