My Journey to The Best Printer for an Etsy Business
When I first opened my my Etsy Party Decorations Shop, I really wanted to produce high quality items for my customers. Because I was basically printing and cutting for all of my decorations and invitations, I knew I needed to have a high quality printer that would be good for a small business.
I scoured the internet for a good printer that would fit all of my business needs. However, I only discovered that there weren’t a lot of options!
Why? Well mainly due to the issue of Heavy Cardstock paper. I wanted my decorations and invitations to be printed on heavy cardstock so that it was nice and thick and didn’t feel cheap. As it turns out, printers that print on heavy cardstock paper are few and far between. You can watch my video on YouTube that details The Best Printer for Heavy Cardstock Paper below.
The Best Printer for an Etsy Business: The Canon Pixma Pro-100
I’ll get right to the point. The best printer for an Etsy Business is the Canon Pixma Pro-100. Honestly, it was the only printer I could find that could do it all. From invitations, to Cricut Craft Projects, to printing photos, it can probably print all the things you need to print for your Etsy Business.

See, the thing is, If you are printing your invitations using heavy cardstock paper, it can be a bit tricky with most printers. But not with the Canon Pixma Pro- 100! That thing nails it every time.

The Best Printer For your Cricut Etsy Business
If you use a Cricut cutting machine in your Etsy Business (I personally use the Cricut Explore Air to make all of my printed and shipped items), then you probably love to use the Print Then Cut feature for your customers!
But that means that you need a great printer that prints vibrant colors for all your projects you make for your Etsy Cricut Business. Luckily, this is something that the Canon Pixma Pro-100 does extremely well! Make sure to read my blog about The Best Printer for Print Then Cut Projects for even more details.
The most important thing to note about using your Cricut and a printer together is the paper weight. If you Don’t Have Printed Products on Etsy
Alternately, if you sell anything else on Etsy like jewelry, clothes, or other crafts, using your printer might not be the key focus of your Etsy business. However, if you have sold on Etsy for a while, you know there’s a ton of things that need to be printed for your Etsy business.
For example, you have to print a ton of labels in order to ship your products to your Etsy customers. Additionally, you might want to print your own business cards to promote your Etsy business. Alternatively, you might also want to print some thank you cards that go into the package with your product. Each of these requires a great printer, so I say, why not check out the Canon Pixma Pro-100?
