Let me guess. You got so excited about the idea of a printables business that you did a ton of research, told a friend or family member about it, or even woke up in the middle of the night thinking about what being the owner of a printables empire could be like, right? (or there are even signs from God or the Universe)
Same girl, same.
It wasn’t long ago I had a similar dream. I wanted to work less in my party decorations business and in my Etsy shop, but make more money. That might sound laughable to most people, but I knew it was possible. Fast forward a few years and I now make more money than I did when I was selling my handmade printed and shipped party decorations! Not only that, but I don’t have to do as much work! It is such a relief.
I’m sure that’s why you thought creating a printables business would be a great idea too, right?
Imposter Syndrome With Starting A Printables Business
But, after all the excitement, something weird happens…NOTHING comes from it! The excitement you had fades, and you start telling yourself about all the ways this idea of a printables business probably won’t work.
As an entrepreneur, I know ALL about this endless cycle. It’s called imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is how your brain tries to protect you in case your idea fails and then you feel bad about yourself. And for better or for worse, my brain does a pretty damn good job at protecting me from failure, if I DO say so myself! Thanks, brain! NOT!
But just like that, a genuine moment of excitement and clarity for an amazing future is ruined! It can feel like SUCH a huge fail.
So how can you cross the imposter bridge to start actually pursing your great idea of creating your printables empire? How can you go from random great ideas that go nowhere, to a new place where you actually take action on your biggest goals and dreams?
Overcome Your Fears & Start A Printables Business
Here’s what works for me.
1. Practice
It takes practice to trust your excitement.
The truth is, what lights you up is actually a compass for your life! The more you listen to your excitement, the more you realize that your spirit guides, angels, or God, are showing you where you should go next. So it’s safe to say that idea you had, isn’t just any idea for anyone. It’s for you!
And, the more you act on on these ideas, the more you realize that miracles can be an everyday occurrence, instead of just a random occasion.
(Like that one time I emailed a celebrity podcaster and asked to be their social media person and got the job! OR like that other time I ran into a public bathroom to kiss a cute boy, who later became my husband. OR like that other time I decided to start a printables business and made $20K in one year! Yep, all true stories.)
I have realized that following my excitement is where life truly gets good.
2. Know Nothing is Permanant
Want to know the cool thing about taking action on your dreams? You are NEVER stuck with any decision in your life!
If it doesn’t work? Just move on. You can always take a new direction and let your faith and intuition guide you. You’d be surprised what the Universe has in store for you when you just keep moving forward.
Okay so those are my suggestions on moving into a place where you can start achieving more in life!
