I did it! I went through my daughters playroom this weekend and got rid of everything she doesn’t play with! I removed books that were too young for her, stuffed animals that NEVER get cuddled, and toys that are no longer getting played with. It was SO liberating!
Until, that is, she would ONLY play with the toys that were in the “get rid of” pile! What is it about kids and wanting to play with something the minute you want to give it away? I knew I should have waited until she wasn’t in the house, but who has time for that?

So now that all the unwanted toys have been removed, it’s time to make way for all the new things that she won’t play with in a year! 😉 But sometimes it is SO hard to know what to get, amiright? I always ask friends what they are getting their kids and it can be such a lifesaver! And that’s why I wanted to share my list with you! And the best part? You don’t even have to leave your house. This is all avail on Amazon! You have prime right? Free 2-day shipping? If not, go here, now! Do not pass GO, do NOT collect $200.00.
So, I give you, what I’m getting SANTA is bringing my almost three-year-old daughter for Christmas this year!

Lately, whenever we go anywhere, my daughter says, “Oh wait. Let me grab my purse.” And she grabs this basket thing that held sand toys from when we went on vacation this year. I figured, why not give her the real thing? And let’s be honest, pretty soon she’ll be asking for the LV Neverfull purse either way, so might as well get her started early.
Not only does my daughter love her Melissa and Doug Baby Doll, or her “baby” as she calls it – and no, it doesn’t have a name, so don’t ask her. She also loves everything about taking care of said baby.
Her FAVORITE pastime is pushing her in this stroller, that my grandma got for her last Christmas.THIS year, it’s all about peer pressure. “Baby sleeps in the big girl bed and doesn’t get up until it’s time, so you should too.” And since, “Baby wipes her own ass,” is probably a pipe dream for now, let’s start with sleep.I have been told now from several people that getting a baby bed is a great way to demonstrate and teach kids how to sleep in their own bed. So, I’m obviously extremely on board with this toy! I had also considered this one instead because you can store toys and clothes underneath, but decided against it, since ultimately, I want it to look like a real bed as opposed to a crib. I’m sure I’m over-thinking it. |

You’re going to notice a bit of a pattern here, but promoting independent sleep is priority UNO in our house. I have been waiting for the best clock to give to my daughter and this one looks pretty awesome. It serves as a night light, while changing colors throughout the night to give kids a signal as to when it’s okay to get out of bed. Crossing my fingers it works!Do any of you already have one? I would love to hear how it’s going!
My daughter recently took my Beats wireless headphones and put them around her neck and pretended they were a stethoscope. Enough said. It is way less costly if she breaks this kit than my headphones.
Last Easter, I got her this makeup kit and it might be one of the best gifts I have ever gotten her! I put it right next to my makeup, so every time she wants to be just like me (which let’s face it, is the cutest thing ever), I don’t have to fret that she is ruining my makeup brushes from Sephora. She absolutely loves it, and the best part is that it’s not messy!
That said, she has recently started loving having her hair dried! So, I thought because of that, this little vanity kit might be the perfect thing to get next. Now, if she only didn’t think the actual washing of the hair was equivalent to torture. |
I’m sure this list might grow over the next month because #spoiled, but Christmas is only once a year right?
Want to add to this list?! I would love to hear the things you are getting your kids!! Where are the best sales this year?
