Do you love Canva, and you’re wondering if you can make and sell printables using it? I love Canva because it is extremely easy to use and understand. And as you might know, I create and sell printables on Etsy, but I don’t use Canva to design my printables. But below I’m sharing What I use Canva for In my Printables Business so you can get some inspiration.

I love Canva, But I Don’t Design My Printables With it
If you’ve been around a while, then you might know that I don’t use Canva to create and sell printables on Etsy. There are just TWO many things that you can do in Adobe products (what I use to teach my students to sell printables), that you just can’t do with Canva.
But that doesn’t mean I don’t use Canva in my business. In fact, I love Canva! It’s so easy to use (if you use it from a computer and not your phone), and is easy to learn. And it’s useful for SO many things as a printables seller. So I wanted to give you some ideas of how to use Canva for in your printables business that doesn’t include designing printables.
Promote Your Printables on Social Media & Pinterest
My students know that I’m a big proponent of using social media to grow your printables empire. And the reason for this is because, while Etsy has a built in audience, it’s still a good idea to bring your own audience from your own platforms.
Pinterest, although not technically a social media site, is another great place to put your time into promoting your printables. In fact, I think it’s one of the most important places to do it! You get so much more bank for your buck when you spend your time on Pinterest. So using Canva to create graphics for Pinterest is a must! Advertising Your Printables
Whether you sell printables on Etsy or on your own website, you might decide that advertising is a good way to bring in more traffic and sales. You might choose to advertise with Facebook Ads, Google Ads, or even on YouTube. Whatever channel you choose, you’ll want some great graphics to draw your audience in. And Canva is a great way to do that!
What I use Canva for In my Printables Business: Etsy Listing Videos
Okay so I have to admit, I haven’t really been very good about doing this, but I have made the occasional listing video. However, I know that listing videos are getting increasingly more important on Etsy, so we want to start focusing on creating them for our printables. I think video is probably where Canva comes out on top and squashes all it’s competitors. Not only to them have amazing templates to work from, but you can use them ALL for listing videos because you aren’t using them for commercial use! (That is the sweet spot for using Canva if you ask me!) Canva has so many unique animations and moving elements that it makes creating Etsy listing photos a breeze and can take you just minutes to create.
Use Canva for Website and Blog Photos
If you visit my website home, and even this blog, you’ll notice that my visuals all come from Canva. Canva is such a great place to get photos for your blog or website! And again, the reason for that is that you aren’t using the photos you get from Canva for commercial use. Again, I think this is the sweet spot for Canva and when I’d highly recommend upgrading to Pro.
Thanks!
