Overcoming the Number One Fear of Selling Printables

But after my most recent masterclass, it got me thinking. All of the biggest fears associated with not starting a printables business all stem from one overall fear… fear of judgement from others.
Why Our Brains Are Responsible for These Fears
We can basically blame our brains for this pesky problem. You see, back in the day our brains had one main goal. And that goal was to survive. And in order to survive, our brains instilled mechanisms in us so that we didn’t die.
One of those mechanisms was the fight or flight response. The fight or flight response helps us when a bear comes into our cave and tries to kill us. Another mechanism that was instilled was the idea that we needed to maintain our status as part of the tribe. That’s because back in the day, you needed to stay with your tribe to get food, water, shelter, and so on.
These Fears Are No Longer Serving Us
Nowadays, the odds that a bear is going to come walking into our homes is slim. Likewise, although it’s nice to build a tribe of people around you who love and support you, it’s not as important when it comes to our survival.
So what does selling printables have to do with it? Well, the problem is that we want to do things in our current reality, but our brains are still primed for all those outdated problems.
We associate the idea of starting a printables business with that of a bear walking into our cave. We worry that if we FAIL at creating printables, we will be ousted from the tribe!
Overcoming the Number One Fear of Selling Printables
The truth of the matter is that these old paradigms are no longer serving us. We have to realize that failure is not going to kill us and that most people don’t give a *you know what* about you failing. Most people, in fact, are more scared about themselves, then what’s going on with you!
We have to realize that we came here to experience it ALL – the success and the failures. And once you realize that, you’ll become unstoppable. You won’t be letting those outdated paradigms run your life anymore. You’ll try new things – like starting a printables business, for example. And life is going to start getting a whole long more interesting and exciting.
